With so many local attractions both in and around Southend, it can be difficult to decide where to go and what to do!

Our Tried and Tested reviews are a way for us to share some of the places on offer and give you more information on the individual attractions or venues, helping you make your decision that little easier!

London's Biggest Indoor Theme Park - Babylon Park

Published:

We were lucky enough to be invited along to spend a few hours at Babylon Park.

Based in Camden, it's a great location to spend the day in London and just a few minutes away from the Tube station.

The theme park is based on an out of space theme and is set across 3 floors. It offers a great mix of rides, attractions, and gaming options that cater to all ages, making it a perfect day out. The park has a really cool atmosphere and the space theme is well-executed throughout the park, creating an immersive experience. Our favourite attractions was of course the rollercoaster, bumper cars and the soft play. Yes, there's soft play!! This is divided into two separate areas for smaller and younger children and was well thought out with colourful objects and activities.

Entry to the park is free and you can buy coins before your visit on their website, or at the help desk when you arrive and these can be topped up on machines throughout the park. Each ride of game requests different amounts of coins and you just need to scan your bracelet, card or app to gain entry or start the game. You can buy coin packs on here

As well as rides, there are lots of interactive arcade games as well as smaller sit on rides for smaller children. We actually commented on how long you get on each ride/attraction. For example, the rollercoaster goes round 3 times which is a more than you would get elsewhere and there are very minimal queues.

The park is accessible with a lift as you enter to the left of the escalators, taking you to all 3 floors. There is a cafe situated on the first floor directly opposite the soft play serving refreshments, ice-creams and slush puppies.

Directly behind the park, you can find Camden Lock where there are lots more places to eat and drink.

The park is open every day of the week at the following times:

Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm
Saturday 10am to 10pm
Sunday 10am to 9pm

They also offer children's birthday parties and SEN mornings for the children who may find it a little overwhelming.

Overall, it's a great day out for the kids and adults too! For more info, check out their listing here
