Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour - Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin

Around 150 tractors and farm vehicles covered in Christmas lights and decorations will once again be taking part, driving though Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin in a sight that is sure to put a smile on the faces of everyone young and old. We are again hoping that thousands will turn out on the streets to support the farmers last year and we know their return will be extremely popular! Gingerbread Decorating for Christmas - and Nativity from Scratch at Walsworth Road Baptist Church

Ember Elf and the Last Christmas Wish at Ickleford Village Hall

Hitchin Churchyard Advent Window Trail

This December @stmaryschurch_hitchin invites you to come to the Churchyard area of Hitchin to enjoy its wonderful independent shops and cafes, and of course to see the iconic Church with our Advent crown ready to be lit. The shop window advent displays can be viewed from December 1st until Christmas Eve. Trail maps are available from Visit Hitchin and Vintage Bay shop. Follow the trail from 1-25, name the shops and locations taking part, return your forms and you will be entered in to a prize draw.

Hitchin Folk Club - Albion Christmas Band at The Cricket Pavillion

They will host their annual Santa Canta on Saturday, a 5k run on Norton Common in Letchworth Garden City. This is a chance to run a 5k in Christmas fancy dress to raise money for Headway Herts. The run is open to runners of all ages and abilities.

On Sunday the 22nd come down to the Wynd @letchworthfest will be hosting a Christmas Lantern Crafting station at @thestoreroomletchworth between 2pm and 4pm. Proceeds will go towards the budget for next year's Letchworth Festival Events including Glast-Wynd-Bury, which has become one of our favorites. Magic of Midwinter Celebration at Mill Green Museum, Bush Hall Lane, Hatfield

Visit us on the shortest day of the year for a traditional Wassail with music, activities, mill tours, and a special fruit tree planting celebration. Hot food and mulled cider will be served in our tearoom to keep you warm and there is opportunity to buy some last-minute Christmas gift at our local seller stalls. The event runs 1pm-5pm with some outdoor activity, so please come dressed for the weather. Torches may be handy too. Invite someone!
