A Christmas highlight for many towns and villages is their Christmas Lights Switch-On events and they're coming up, so here's your round-up of where and when to see them.

Christmas Light Switch Ons and Light Events

Hitchin Christmas Lights Switch On

Sat 16th November 2024 12-8pm
Get ready to kick off the festive season in style! On November 16th, Christmas officially arrives in Hitchin with the Christmas Tree Light Switch On at 6:00 PM. But that's not all-we've got a full day of excitement planned for everyone!
Live Performances from local artists will begin at 12:00 PM, filling the streets with festive tunes and cheer.
Don't miss Santa's Parade at 5:30 PM, as the big man himself makes his way through the town, spreading Christmas joy!
Food and Drink Stalls will be open all day, serving delicious festive treats and drinks to keep you warm and merry.
And to top it all off,Hitchin's favourite band, The New Town Centres, will take the stage to perform just before the big switch-on!
Bring your family, friends, and festive spirit, and let's celebrate the start of the holiday season together in Hitchin!

Knebworth Christmas Lights Big Switch-On at St Martins Church, Knebworth
Fri 22nd November 2024 5-8pm
🎄 One of the highlights of the year, the village Christmas lights will be turned on at a family fun event run by Knebworth Parish Council. Highlights include:
🎶 Performances from Stagecoach, Knebworth Community Chorus, and Knebworth School choir, before the big countdown with Kevin Bonavia at 6.30pm.
🎸 🎤 Followed by more great live music from Kit Bottomley and The Scallywags on the stage, and carol singing led by Herts Musical Memories in the Church.
🎁 Browse our stalls for some fantastic Christmas presents, including beautiful skincare and jewellery, books, and unique homeware and decorations.
🎅 Visit the grotto to tell Santa if you've been naughty or nice! Don't forget the face painting and craft, and a preschooler play area in the church, and activity stalls for all ages on the Green.
☕️🥧🍷🍕🍟 Refreshments for all tastes including Oh my Dough pizzas, burger van, licensed bar with mulled wine, hot chocolate in the Parish Centre, and Knebworth's own Izzy Bakes 🧁
🌟Lucas May, Noah charity shop and Simmons will all be staying open late offering even more Christmas fun and bargains 🤩

Christmas Fair & Light Switch On on Biggleswade Market Square
Fri 29th November 2024 From Midday to 10pm
Biggleswade Town Council present the Annual Christmas Fair & Light Switch on. The fair will take part in the Market Square on Friday 29th November 2024 between noon and 10pm. There will be lots of food and craft stalls, performances by schools during the day, the light switch on by the Mayor followed by a performance by 'White Lights'.
