We have various activities that are perfect for the whole family to have a go at such as making a handprint penguin, painting your own Christmas (or 'all year round') decoration, and why not try some rock painting as well?
The crafts are available throughout the school holidays (21st December - 2nd January. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so the crafts will not be available on these dates) and costs £4 to do all crafts once. No need to pre book, just turn up on the day.

Santa Storyboats are very special. Santa makes a special visit to joins us, on our trip, in a festive Bryan Donkin boat. Dressing up is expected! Christmas themed stories will be told by our storyteller, as we take a trip down the River Gade, from outside our Visitor Centre, along the River Gade, down to the Grand Union Canal and back. Children will receive a gift from Santa.
Our boat takes a maximum of 12 passengers plus crew. £12 per person. Lasts 45 minutes to an hour.

We have various activities that are perfect for the whole family to have a go at such as making a handprint penguin, painting your own Christmas (or 'all year round') decoration, and why not try some rock painting as well?
The crafts are available throughout the school holidays (21st December - 2nd January. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so the crafts will not be available on these dates) and costs £4 to do all crafts once. No need to pre book, just turn up on the day.

We have various activities that are perfect for the whole family to have a go at such as making a handprint penguin, painting your own Christmas (or 'all year round') decoration, and why not try some rock painting as well?
The crafts are available throughout the school holidays (21st December - 2nd January. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so the crafts will not be available on these dates) and costs £4 to do all crafts once. No need to pre book, just turn up on the day.

Starting and ending at the Visitor Centre, this walk takes you along our multi-user path to soak up the landscape, wildlife and history on our doorstep.
No experience or familiarity with the countryside necessary, simply come as you are! The route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and we have 2 Tramper mobility vehicles available to hire in advance by calling the visitor centre or you may bring your own.
Adult tickets are £4, children £2. Under 5s go free (no ticket required). Normal car parking charges apply. Please book ahead as there will be limited availability on the day.

It may be cold over the winter period, but we've got just the thing to help you warm up... arts and crafts! We have various activities that are perfect for the whole family to have a go at such as making a handprint penguin, painting your own Christmas (or 'all year round') decoration, and why not try some rock painting as well?
The crafts are available throughout the school holidays (21st December - 2nd January. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so the crafts will not be available on these dates) and costs £4 to do all crafts once. No need to pre book, just turn up on the day.

The script has been specially written by Mike Hurst, ideal for the cast of hundreds, aged between 3 and 16 years, and appealing to all members of the family.
The plot tells of poor, young DW who arrives in London to make his fortune. Things are looking up when he not only gets work with the Alderman Fitzwarren but also falls in love with his daughter Alice.

Claire has helped lead youth work at St Helen's in Wheathampstead for many years, alongside being a part-time youth worker for Hertfordshire Christian charity the267project.
