Easter Baby Barn - Opening this Easter is our baby barn, visit our barn and see our beautiful Spring lambs, the perfect way to spend Easter.

We have a packed program of events to keep the whole family entertained. All activities are included in the admission. You can either book your tickets online or pay on arrival.

During the Easter holidays, take part in pond dipping at RSPB Rye Meads! Discover the creatures lurking in the hidden depths of the waters - from the tiny water flea to the mighty dragonfly nymph, the ponds of Rye Meads are full of a variety of amazing animals! Available from 10am-4pm, Wednesday - Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday (21st April). No need to book, just turn up on the day!

All pond dipping equipment is provided for £4.50 per kit, and your pond dipping session will last approximately 25 minutes. Please do not bring your own nets as you won't be able to use them in our pond. This is a self-led activity.

Easter Baby Barn - Opening this Easter is our baby barn, visit our barn and see our beautiful Spring lambs, the perfect way to spend Easter.

We have a packed program of events to keep the whole family entertained. All activities are included in the admission. You can either book your tickets online or pay on arrival.

During the Easter holidays, take part in pond dipping at RSPB Rye Meads! Discover the creatures lurking in the hidden depths of the waters - from the tiny water flea to the mighty dragonfly nymph, the ponds of Rye Meads are full of a variety of amazing animals! Available from 10am-4pm, Wednesday - Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday (21st April). No need to book, just turn up on the day!

All pond dipping equipment is provided for £4.50 per kit, and your pond dipping session will last approximately 25 minutes. Please do not bring your own nets as you won't be able to use them in our pond. This is a self-led activity.

Come along and make a free apple bird feeder while hearing all about the work of the RSPB and how you can become involved in helping nature.

Discover the wonderful world of birds and their feathers.

Use microscopes to look for colours, patterns and other tiny details that make feathers so special.

Listen to the stories (4-8 year old audience) and spot the wildlife. There may even be opportunities to feed the birdlife and hopefully see any newly hatched chicks.

The Gade River is full of wildlife and we will pause to feed any we spot. The Bryan Donkin boat leaves from outside our Visitor Centre in Fourdrinier Way, travels down The Gade to join the Grand Union Canal, where we will stop briefly.

The Gade River is full of wildlife and we will pause to feed any we spot. The Bryan Donkin boat leaves from outside our Visitor Centre in Fourdrinier Way, travels down The Gade to join the Grand Union Canal, where we will stop briefly.

We have a packed program of events to keep the whole family entertained. All activities are included in the admission. You can either book your tickets online or pay on arrival.

The exhibition follows six artists' journeys through their practices as they explore ways in which meaningful cross-disciplinary collaborations can be achieved with both human and non-human partners.

Discover the creatures lurking in the hidden depths of the waters - from the tiny water flea to the mighty dragonfly nymph, the ponds of Rye Meads are full of a variety of amazing animals! Available from 10am-4pm, Wednesday - Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday (21st April). No need to book, just turn up on the day!

All pond dipping equipment is provided for £4.50 per kit, and your pond dipping session will last approximately 25 minutes. Please do not bring your own nets as you won't be able to use them in our pond. This is a self-led activity.

This Easter, we're thrilled to present Easter Animal Encounters, a unique 40-minute show running from Monday to Friday, 7th-11th April 2025. Hosted by Mark Amey, a lifelong exotic and domestic animal keeper, breeder, zoologist, environmentalist, and conservationist, this hands-on show will allow you to meet a range of fascinating creatures.

Meet the soldiers of the English Civil War in this captivating living history event.

Return to the 17th Century with Sir Marmaduke Rawdon's Regiment of Foote as it prepares to march and join King Charles' Royalist army at Oxford.

It is April 1643 and Rawdon is training his soldiers before they leave the Chiltern Hills. Come and watch the muskets firing, and the Pikemen demonstrating their hand to hand combat skills.

Try-on the armour and have a look at the weapons used by soldiers of the Civil War.
