Mind + Matter: Towards Co-Creation (FREE Art/ Science Exhibition)
Art + Design Gallery
Fri 31st January 2025 - Fri 25th April 2025
Open weekdays 10:00-16:00 + 15 Feb 11:00-15:00
UH Arts + Culture and Art:Sci Research Lab are thrilled to present a group exhibition exploring how artists and scientists can work together.
The exhibition follows six artists' journeys through their practices as they explore ways in which meaningful cross-disciplinary collaborations can be achieved with both human and non-human partners.
The exhibiting artists are Heather Barnett, Emma Critchley, Hannah Dargavel-Leafe, Alexa Wright, Sam Jury and Rob Godman.
The exhibition brings together a range of different artistic practices and ways of working - from slime mould investigations to underwater ecosystems and Tourette's Syndrome.
Each artist immerses themselves in their subject matters, whether in labs, fields, or operating rooms, working closely with their collaborators to learn each other's "language" and to create something new.
