The Keeping Together Scheme

Published:

Did you know about The Keeping Together Scheme?

The scheme offers your children and vulnerable adults a free water-proof and tear-proof wristband that you can write your contact details on, should they become separated from you.

When parents and guardians collect wristbands from participating venues, the name of the child or vulnerable adult in their care can be written onto the band, alongside the carer’s contact details. If the individual then becomes separated from their party for any reason, they can easily seek help and be swiftly reunited with their parent, guardian or carer.

The bands are available from approximately 30 participating businesses across the town centre and seafront. Once you've got one, all you need to do is simply write your telephone number on the reverse and attach it around your child/adult's wrist. Then, if they inadvertently wander off and become lost, a quick phone call from anyone who finds them will soon have them back where they belong.

Almost 30 businesses now offer the wristbands in Southend;
