A fun and simple Summer Bucket List

Published:

Entertaining children for an entire six weeks can be hard work, but what can be even harder is deciding on what to do! Particularly if you have multiple children who all have an opinion, a bucket list can be a great idea to make a plan for each day!

Here's how we made ours...

Step 1 - Check out our Things to do category for some inspiration. We have sub-categories for EVERYTHING so make sure you browse through each one. We also have a 'What's on guide' for one-off events AND a list of 60 FREE and low cost things to do this summer coming soon!

Step 2 - Grab a jar/bucket/vase/pot, some lollipop sticks and some pens. If you cant find coloured sticks, colour them in like we did when we ran out.

Step 3 - Make a note for the front of the jar so you know what each colour is for.

❤️Something at home

(Perfect for those days at home - This could be a game, activity, messy play, toys in the garden)

💚Something to do

(An activity they enjoy whether indoors or out and about. This is mainly just to give you a bit of inspiration if you are stuck on ideas)

💛Somewhere we've been

(A few of your favourites and a chance to use any annual passes you have)

💜Somewhere new

(A chance to try out somewhere you've been meaning to go)

🧡A few extra surprises, just for you

(This could be a big day out or something you've planned as a surprise)

Step 4 - Ask the children what they want to do and start writing all of your ideas down! Get them involved in the writing too.. You will be surprised at how many things you come up with

Here's what we put on ours....

And there you have it... for all those days where you think ' What shall we do tomorrow?' Simply decide on the colour and ask the kids to take turns choosing. Giving you the control on whether its at home or out and about and how much money you spend.

☀️ Happy Bucketlisting! ☀️
