Where to Buy Your Real Christmas Trees Locally

There is nothing like the smell of a real Christmas tree in the house! Yes, they take a little more effort than an artificial tree but it can be worth it! We all know you can buy a tree in places like B&Q or Tesco, but at Mum's guide to Romford we would much rather support the smaller local businesses so I have been doing some research online and I have come up with this list of local businesses where you can choose your real tree this Christmas.

For details on recycling your tree after the festive season, click here.

The information here is correct at the time of publication. Please do check with businesses before setting off as some will have deliveries or start their Christmas Tree sale on different dates.

Recycling Your Christmas Tree

There are also several opportunities to recycle your tree once Christmas is over.

  • Take your tree to Gerpins Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre.
  • If you have a green garden waste bin, cut your tree in half and put it in the bin making sure the lid will close completely.
  • Saint Francis Hospice will be running their annual recycling service where you can book a collection on Thursday 9th January if you live in Havering and Brentwood. Postcodes eligible for collections: RM1, RM2, RM3, RM4, RM5, RM6, RM7, RM11, RM12, RM13, RM14. Now in Brentwood: CM13, CM14, CM15 and CM4 0.
This is a free service but donations to the hospice are appreciated. The website will close for registrations at 8am on Monday 6th January 2025.
