Join Hertfordshire Libraries during Green Libraries Week to celebrate libraries with a focus on sustainability and the environment.
The week runs from 7-13 October and there will also be activities throughout the month, from nature walks and gardening talks to family junk robot sessions and green-themed storytimes.
Libraries have always been based on green principles – books and other items can be borrowed, returned, and re-borrowed – so nothing is single-use! Libraries are the original recycling centres and are by their very nature the great green business model.
Look out for green themes at our regular Storytimes, Rhyme Times, Tea and Chat, and other groups! Or contribute to a community collage. Ask at your local library what they have planned.
