You've definitely seen a feather, you may have touched a feather but do you know what a feather is for? What makes them waterproof? What makes them warm? So many questions and more will be answered during our Feather Extravaganza trail!
Head out onto the reserve and test your feathery knowledge as you answer questions about these intriguing and unique structures of the bird world. There's not only questions but trivia for you to dazzle your friends and family with as you learn about how important feathers are to birds and what feathers can tell us about birds. The trail is suitable for kids of all ages on a reserve that is fully accessible and will provide everyone with a great day out.
£1 per trail, no need to book.
Once you've completed the trail, why not have a go at Owl Pellet Dissection? Running on selected days over the half term, you can find out what an Owl has had for meal. Led by our knowledgeable volunteers, who knows what you may find. Minimum age 7 years old, children must be accompanied by an adult.
