If you thought Christmas was all about Santa, then you’d be mistaken- his hardworking elves need some glory too! Hidden away all year making toys for children, it’s their time to shine in the run-up to Christmas, as they take to the streets bringing joy and laughter to the doorsteps of local families.
We had a visit from The Doorstep Elves today and were absolutely blown away by the experience! We were gifted the visit for a Tried and Tested review on the website. Having never experienced a doorstep visit before (the closest we’ve come was the doorstep photoshoots in lockdown- remember those?!), we weren’t sure how the boys would react, but they absolutely loved it!
Our 6 year old had been excited all week about the elves’ visit and couldn’t believe they were coming especially to see him and his little brother. When he heard the doorbell, he went running and flung the front door open to find Alma Elf and Elbereth Elf with their basket of treats and props. He was immediately entranced and in hysterics at their antics.
I don’t want to ruin the magic of the experience by giving too much away, but the thought and planning that has gone in to these visits is amazing- they’re completely personalised to your children and are fun for the whole family!
With singing, dancing, stories, elf chatter and treats for the children, it’s an amazing experience to bring the magic of Christmas to your doorstep.
Doorstep Visits
Currently there are only a few slots left in the week running up to Christmas for Hitchin and Letchworth, so do get in touch as soon as possible if you’d like a visit.
The Elves and the last Christmas Bear - Interactive Christmas Show
It’s not just doorstep visits that are on offer from these talented elves this Christmas, they also have their very own interactive Christmas Show in Hitchin- ‘The Elves and the last Christmas Bear’!
When there is only one teddy left in the toyshop the day before Christmas eve, but still another 20,000 children who have asked for teddies, what are the elves going to do?! With help from the audience, and a LOT of magic and silliness, the Elves get to work on making sure that no child has to wake up on Christmas day without a teddy.
Will it all be as simple as it seems?
Will the elves mess up (BIG TIME) along the way?
You will have to wait and see!
Mrs Claus will be on hand to ensure the elves don’t make TOO much mess of the situation. She will also be checking every child off on the nice list, and signing their certificates to prove they really have been good!
Many shows are sold out, but there are a few week-day day time shows with tickets left, which are perfect for pre-schoolers. You can even take along a (nut-free) packed lunch for your little one and enjoy a lunchtime treat, so grab some friends and nab those last tickets here!
