Spring is such a lovely time of year, and there's nothing lovelier than all the adorable lambs at our local farms. It's a great experience for kids to see, meet and sometimes even bottle feed the lambs.
So here's a rundown of lots of local places you can meet newborn lambs...you might even get to see some being born!

Lambs at Standalone Farm, Letchworth
As you can see from my picture taken on March 24th, there are lambs at Standalone Farm at the moment. In the past, they've run drop-in bottle feeding sessions on a first come first-served basis (but they've always been great at making sure all the children get a go) and when I asked a member of staff this morning if they planned to do it again, they said hopefully soon, so no set timelines, but I'll keep you posted. The lambs are in a nursery with their mums near the new Highland cows at the moment, so you can see them.

It's time to book lamb bottle feeding. Join us for lamb bottle feeding this Feb half-term - spaces fill fast so book now!
We're expecting a lot of triplets this year, which will mean we have a few extra mouths to feed and we need your help. Why not join in and help with this busy time in the farming calendar, as you assist the Farmer in feeding the lambs. Book online to reserve your place.

Easter at Herrings Green Activity Farm

Hop on down to the farm for our Easter Eggstravaganza. Easter Baby Barn - Opening this Easter is our baby barn, visit our barn and view our Easter babies. View our Spring lambs, goat kids and our other babies. The perfect way to spend Easter. We have a packed daily program of events to keep all the family entertained. Take the kids to the outdoor playgrounds, have a go on the tyre run and for the little ones enjoy the ride on the toy tractors. Our tea room is open daily 10.00 - 4.00, serving sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and snacks or alternatively you are welcome to bring a picnic. All activities are included in the admission.

Lamb Bottle Feeding at Aldenham Country Park

Book this favourite activity early to avoid disappointment. Wonderful for all ages and everyone can get involved. Meet, hold and feed your very own lamb. Loved my adults and kids alike. Bring your big & little ones for a treat. The experience lasts around 30 minutes and you will feed one lamb.
Appropriate for 2+ years, younger children will need adult assistance. Costs from £9.95 per person.

Lambing Live at Foxholes Farm

Join us this Easter Holidays for a true farm experience for all the family. Watch our farm team as they look after our ewes giving birth. All our ewes who are expecting are made comfortable in their maternity ward situated in our undercover barn over the Easter holidays. A fun and educational way to see how we work in a working farm environment. Whilst the lambs are being born, you can also have fun feeding the ewes (mummy sheep) & getting up close. You can also feed some of our other animals in the Farm Park too.
