Summer evenings in Paradise 2022

Experience the zoo come to life with a technicoloured celebration of summer as the sun goes down.

Last weekend as a thank you for the support we have given Paradise Wildlife Park over the past year with promoting their events and news stories we were gifted some tickets to their amazing summer evenings in paradise event.

I actually worked at paradise for 10 years starting as a saturday girl who ran the pony rides back in the day and working my way up to be head of education and shows before following new pursuits, my husband and i met there and it will always hold a very special place in my heart and i love to see them grow and develop into the amazing attraction and conservationists they are today, so its always nice to visit them and we were very excited because we had never been to summer evenings before.

The event runs from 6:30-9:30pm on fridays and saturdays until 23rd July so if you want to grab some tickets youll need to be quick.

Theres something special about heading off to a normal day attraction in the evening and my children throught we were going on holiday and that kind of is the vibe that this event gives off.

Straight from arrival the customer service was superb and although the queue looked lengthy it really was very quick and well organised. We were directed round by the marquee to wait to enter and were entertained by one drum whilst we queued. 

Upon entry i was blown away, there were dinosaurs out to meet, stilt walkers, bubbles, some strange flower people my children were obsessed with, pimms stalls, food and drink, music and a real festival vibe going on! We grabbed a pimms and went off the explore the animal area. On route to the animals there was a chill out area complete with bean bags and more pimms stalls which was just amazing!!

We enjoyed looking round the animals, who were on fine form as the sun began to fade, we also enjoyed the live music outside the anacondas, we danced, we laughed and saw many many animals and caught up with old friends.

We then decided to head over to the dinosaurs as it was getting darker and enjoyed having the world of dinosaurs pretty much to ourselves - it was fabulous and my youngest was in his element.

We grabbed a coffee and the boys had a play in the play area before it was time for one drums final performance, which involved fire eating and juggling and was amazing. The three hours flew past and we had such a wonderful time, the boys are normally in bed by 7pm and i wasnt sure they would last but they were having far too much fun to be sleepy, although they did fall asleep in the car on the way home within 2 minutes. The next day they were so excited about their "night time adventure" and told every one they came across just how much fun they had had.

As a blogger we are lucky enough to experience lots of different attractions that my children enjoy, however its rare to find an event that is as equally entertaining for the children as it is the adults, but Paradise have struck gold with this genius event which ticks all the boxes and at just £15 per ticket prices are reasonable too.
