The Hertford Town Tourist and Information Centre is very active and an ideal place to start if you are new to the area or just interested in whats going on locally. This is the place to start if you want to find out about Hertford past and present - why not pick up a free Town Guide. The opening hours are Monday-Saturday 9.30 am - 5.00 pm. They run a variety of activities for babies, toddlers and young people and regularly run library challenges through the year. Regular groups include Baby Rhyme Time and Toddler Tales.
If, like me, you are in need of a constant coffee supply you will be pleased to know that Hertford has an abundance of them. The Leaf Café is a child-friendly coffee and book shop with toys and stick finger books for your little people to enjoy. They also regularly run eat;play;read sessions and meet the author events.
Hertford is blessed with three wonderful Family Centres - Beane Valley, Hertford Selections Centre and Churchfields. They all provide a welcoming, caring and accessible environment where all families feel safe and supported. The best place to know about when you are pregnant, just had a baby or new to the area. They have fantastic resources for all parents from First Aid courses to drop-in sessions where you can meet other new mums to one to one outreach appointments. Whether you need to upgrade your parenting skills, learn about special needs or just to have a chat with an expert, this is the place to go.
