Scott's Grotto is a series of interconnected chambers, extending some 67ft into the chalk hillside. It is rumoured to have cost £10,000 and is thought to have taken 30 years to complete. The chambers and tunnels are lined with shells, flints and pieces of coloured glass. The grotto is open 2-4.30pm on each Saturday & Bank Holiday Monday between April 1st and September 28th.

St Albans Museum + Gallery opened to the public in June 2018 as a world-class centre for arts and culture at the heart of one of Britain's most historic cities. Set over three floors, the state-of-the-art gallery spaces will showcase over 2,000 years of priceless heritage and display contemporary artworks - sharing local, national and world treasures with all. The Museum offers a fascinating and inexpensive day out for the family with many interesting displays and artefacts to see relating to farming, country life, trades and professions plus many other interesting exhibits, including three model railways, a 37 HP Crossley gas engine, stationary engines, vintage wirelesses, photographic and electrical apparatus and a WWII military aviation room with a full size reconstruction of a section of a wartime Avro Lancaster Bomber.
