Located on the site of a former steam driven silk mill, & later enormous Brooke Bond tea factory, this volunteer-run museum looks forward to welcoming you. Its three rooms consider the history, industry & mysteries of Redbourn village through changing exhibitions. Local history books, videos, pictures, cards & other gifts on sale. Open Feb-Nov. A working flour mill museum with four floors to explore. Stoneground organic flours available. Onsite bakery producing artisan loaves and cakes. Crossley HD11 oil engine runs on Sunday afternoons.
Idyllic location with superb walks around the mill.
Mill and bakery open on Saturday mornings 9am - 1pm. The mill museum is also open on Sunday afternoons 1pm - 4.30pm.

Visit our great little award-winning Museum, situated in the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years. The Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds, features three interactive galleries. Boy gallery looks at Roald Dahl's school days while Solo gallery houses his original Writing Hut. The Story Centre puts your imagination centre-stage with fantabulous activities to inspire the writer in you. Closed on Mondays.

The Royston Museum Trail guides the visitor through the history of Royston and the surrounding area with a range of archaeological finds dating from the Ice Age through to the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons. Other items of particular interest are a Beatles' programme, the first home computer (Sinclair ZX), a Rubik's Cube, and a time capsule assembled by the Royston Brownies in 1997 to be opened in 2027!

Discover the mystery beneath the streets of Royston. No records of its age or purpose exist, but it is manmade and contains an extensive range of wall carvings. The purpose of Cave remains a mystery and a visit to make up your own mind is a must! Entry is by guided tour only.
