Watford General Hospital
Watford General Hospital has an Emergency Department (also known as Accident and Emergency or A&E) open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the treatment of serious and potentially life threatening conditions.
Children under 16 are seen in the Children's Emergency department.
It also has an Urgent Treatment Centre at Watford General Hospital open 8am-2am every day.
Watford is the largest of our three hospitals. It's the centre for emergency care and specialist inpatient services, as well as our maternity and neonatal services.
Patients also come to Watford for a range of diagnostics, outpatient appointments and day case treatment.
