The New QEII Hospital
The Urgent Treatment Centre at the New QUII Hospital is open every day from 8am to 10pm. Our team of emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) and GPs can treat a range of minor illnesses and injuries in adults and children, including:
Muscle and joint injuries, such as sprains and dislocations
Bites, stings, cuts, bruises and grazes
Burns and scalds
Minor eye injuries
Minor head injuries
Objects stuck in ears or noses
The New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City opened in 2015, replacing the original QEII Hospital which opened in 1963. It provides a range of outpatient clinics and services including blood tests, as well as an urgent treatment centre which is open every day from 8am to 10pm. Some services at the New QEII Hospital are provided by Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, including children's therapies.
