Sponge and Cream is a cake shop on London road in St Albans, near the town centre. We specialise in creating beautiful celebration cakes to order such as birthday cakes, wedding cakes, christening cakes, baby shower cakes, graduation cakes etc.
We also have a sit in area where you can enjoy slices of our freshly baked cakes, giant cookies and other baked products with hot or cold drinks.
All our cakes are baked on the premises in the shop where you can see the bakers at work.
You are welcome to collect your cakes or have them delivered on the day of your event.
Sponge and Cream is open Tuesdays till Sundays. You can order your cakes over the phone, in person in the shop or on our website.
We have a good selection of postal letterbox brownie and cookie gift boxes which can be delivered nationwide so get in touch if you want to treat a friend far away.
We cater to all dietary needs and all our products are vegetarian.
Although we have our own set menu of over 18 different flavours we will soon be introducing the "Customer weekly flavour" where we select a winning customer cake flavour suggestion and make it to sell over the weekend.
If it is a particularly bad weather day you can order our products on Deliveroo, Just Eat and/or Ubereats.
