St Hilda's School & Nursery is an Independent Day School for girls aged 4-11 years and a Nursery for boys and girls from 2 years. Founded in 1891 St Hilda's is a unique family run School with a welcoming family atmosphere, and the only Independent Girls Prep School in the Harpenden and Luton area. Our well rounded, brilliant Girls often receive scholarships to their destination senior schools and are well regarded and welcomed by a host of local independent schools, grammar schools and top state schools where they continue to strive. Record number of scholarships have been awarded in recent years.

Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am & after school Care until 6pm. Flexible options available in the Nursery Classes, with stay and play lunches, additional afternoon sessions and wraparound care. Holiday clubs run for the majority of the holiday time.

The premises include an adjacent field used for outdoor learning, sport and break times, an outdoor multi surface sports court and swimming pool, together with attractive play areas for all age ranges. 0ur pupils have access to specialist rooms including, an Art Studio, STEM Lab, Learning Support Zone, three Music rooms for individual lessons and a sound-proofed Performing Arts Studio.
