King's Chamber Orchestra presents 'Christmas Journey'
The Chapel
Sat 7th December 2024
2.pm (Family Teddy Concert), 4.30pm, 7.30pm
Family Teddy Concert:
YWAM Harpenden and the Kings Chamber Orchestra present the unpredictability and random fun ramp up to Christmas. Join families in an interactive all embracing romp through the Christmas story. With music by many of the greats from classical music, film music, and KCO's original improvisations. The dad jokes may flow, touching thoughts may comfort, but most of all the music will delight, and we aim that all will feel the hope of the season. Bring your Teddies or soft toys to join in the action too, flying, dancing and maybe even sleeping!
Late afternoon and evening concerts:
The winter tour 'Christmas Journey' presents some of the most beautiful music. Don't miss out on an afternoon of classical music in our candle-lit Chapel as the orchestra soothe your soul with their heavenly sounds.
KCO's founder and conductor, Gerard Le Feuvre, will ensure you have some good laughs as he tells stories from his most unusual life as a professional cellist. This is a London based professional chamber orchestra of friends (but playing in Harpenden!) and they are not above some playful antics!
At times, you will be transported as the musicians move through the audience, improvising and creating celestial melodies. With Advent carols and poignant reflections from Gerard, this concert will truly be, as our regulars say, "when my Christmas really starts!"
