Come on down to North Herts Museum on the 8th February, where we will be having another one of our monthly toddler music, story, and face painting sessions.

This time we will be reading 'Hairy Maclary' by Lynley Dodd and having a sing-song, if you like, you could even dress up!

Aimed at ages 2-5 years old.

My first ARTventure is a gentle introduction to the creative fun we have in our weekly classes.

Mark Amey has had a love for reptiles and amphibians for as long as he can remember. What he doesn't know about the natural world isn't worth knowing- he has even featured on BBC quiz show QI!

With everything from creepy crawlies to reptiles and cute but not-so-cuddly fluffy animals, this fascinating show will let you get up close to lots of creepy critters.

Are you looking for a fun family event this February half term?

Enjoy a Magical Day Out to celebrate the start of Spring, or Celtic Imbolc!

Explore the woodlands, cook over an open fire, join in with Celtic crafts, take part in drumming workshops and gather around the fire for storytelling. Treat yourself to a tasty lunch made with fresh, seasonal ingredients at The Woodland Bistro. The day will conclude with a fire procession through the woods with music, to bring in the new season!

Grab your snorkel and whizz back in time to 65 million years ago to discover prehistoric Royston - and the bottom of the sea we now call home! With hands-on activities, crafts and much more, there's plenty to keep your kids entertained this February half term. (£3 per child, Free for Friends of Royston Museum)

Plus, we've teamed up with Dodo and Dinosaur for a fun colouring competition! Colour in the prehistoric underwater scene and be in with a chance of winning an Extraordinary Extinct™ Pencil Case and free drop-in school holiday activities at the Museum for 2025. Plus two lucky runners up will also win free drop-in school holiday activities.

We're passionate about nature and wildlife at Jordans Mill, and this February half term, we invite you to join our Animal Trackers Trail for an exciting outdoor adventure!

Head into the Mill Garden, Meadow, and Woodland to uncover clues and discover which animals have been visiting us. Use the tracks on our posters around the site to identify our furry and feathered friends.

It's time to grab your coats and wellies, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the great outdoors. This is the perfect family activity to spark curiosity and connect with nature!
