October Half Term Fun at Biggleswade Library 

As well as the regular Rhymetime, Read & Rhyme and Lego sessions the library has got loads of fun things to keep the kids busy this October

Saturday 19 October - Saturday 2 November: Design your own Superhero logo competition. Create your own brand new Superhero logo. Pick up a template sheet at the helpdesk. Prizes will be awarded in various age categories.
Tuesday 29 October - Saturday 2 November: Children's Emoji Quiz.  Can you guess the 28 popular children's books from the emoji clues?
Tuesday 29 October - Saturday 2 November: Pokemon Scavenger Hunt.  Come and see if you can "catch them all!" and maybe win a Pokemon storybook and collectors cards (1 per person only). Spot Pikachu in the library and have a photo with him!
Tuesday 29 October from 2pm (while stocks last): Rock painting
Wednesday 30 October from 10.30am (while stocks last): Fairy doors craft
Thursday 31October from 10am to 10.30am: The lost monster in the library. Join our Storyteller in Residence for spooky storytelling and creepy crafts. Dressing up encouraged. Suitable for children aged 3-8. Please book your free ticket at the library helpdesk.
Thursday 31October from 11am (while stocks last): Rock Painting
Friday 1 November from 10am to 2pm: Shuttleworth & Dan Albone Day. Join the Shuttleworth Discovery on the Road volunteers to learn more about the Shuttleworth Collection and Biggleswade inventor Dan Albone!  Drop in for free fun activities including library trails, crafts and talks for adults and children.
Saturday 2 November 11am to 3pm: LEGO open day

Friday 1 November 9am to 12.30pm & 2pm to 5pm: A firework craft to make, plus craft a firework for our board display!
Saturday 2 November 9am to 3pm: Cat Craft & Lego available upstairs 
Saturday 12 October to Sat 2 Nov: Friendly Ghost Hunt. Hunt around Potton Market Square and find our ghosts, plus look out for and count the ghosts that are reading!! Pick up a sheet at the library.

Shefford Library

Parents and carers are strongly advised not to leave children unsupervised in the library. Children under 8 must never be left unsupervised in the library.

Stotfold Library

Tuesday 29 October to Saturday 2 November: Stotfold Library Autumn Colouring Competition. Pick up an entry form at the library

Tuesday 29 October 10.30am & 11am: Story and Rhyme time
Please note: Sessions are now limited to 10 children maximum, on a first come, first serve basis. (recommended for children aged 0-5) 

Wednesday 30 October: STEM sessions
An Institution of Engineering and Technology education volunteer will be here to walk you through these fun interactive activities that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!

2.15pm: Paper Circuits: A free interactive craft session making paper circuits
3.30pm: Coding Micro:bits: A free interactive coding session using the micro:bits which are available to borrow from the library
Each session will run for approx. 45 minutes. Spaces are limited so please book your place now at the library or call 0300 300 8068
