Our working watermill is made of 18th & 19th century wooden machinery which has been restored to full working order. It is in regular use to grind organic wheat for a local bakery and for retail sale. On milling days, visitors can see the watermill in action.

Located on the site of a steam driven silk mill, this volunteer-run museum is open from February to November at the weekends from 2 pm to 5 pm. Its three rooms consider the history, industry and mysteries of Redbourn village through changing exhibitions. Local history books, pictures, cards and other gifts are on sale. There is visitor parking but limited access for people with disabilities. Admission free but donations very welcome.

CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR OPEN DAYS/TIMES. Visit the largest preserved Midland Railway signal box and one of the few preserved boxes open to the public on a mainline railway. Continuous signalling demonstrations, railway videos and slideshow of the restoration, many signalling items on display, including single line 'tablet' machines, and other railway-related exhibits. Working signals, old signs and other exhibits in the garden. No need to book. Light refreshments are available on open days. Entrance is FREE, and donations are always welcome.
