We're proud of our pupils' academic success and the abundant opportunities they enjoy. Nestled in 23 acres of Hertfordshire woodland our boys are from Berkhamsted, St Albans, Harpenden, Tring and the surrounding villages, with London only 30 mins away. We welcome boys aged 4 to 13 years.

We're a small school. Purposefully so. We're proud of this, because it allows us to know your son well, and so support him in achieving excellent academic results and giving him abundant beyond-the-classroom opportunities.

Every teacher and every member of staff will know your son and help him to make the most of his full and active school life. This is a community where family spirit and kindness thrive. In fact, we've been shortlisted for the Student Wellbeing Award by the Independent Schools of the Year awards; we're one of the Happiest Boarding schools and have a Platinum Award from The Woodland Trust for our famous shrubs.

At Little Lockers we focus on learning through play, helping boys transition from nursery to school so that they find an enthusiasm for trying new things and education. The access to outside space that includes sports facilities, playgrounds, allotments and dens gives a valuable addition to time in the classroom.

With an excellent curriculum combined with Critical Thinking lessons, interactive teaching techniques and optional Saturday school, our academic success is demonstrated through boys achieving Common Entrance with their very best results, passing to an impressive range of first-choice destination schools.

Beyond the classroom, our boys enjoy an enviable range of opportunities. These include: excellent Sport; unparalleled Music, Art and Drama; a rich outdoor life from playing in the shrubs and roaming our 23 acres at break time; the option of staying the night with us to do prep and to enjoy evening events such as film nights, 'Dark Tower' or even having the whole school turned into Hogwarts.
