Children's activity clubs & classes

We are a large Archery GB club with members from all backgrounds, ages, & capabilities. Mainly for reasons of safety, there is a minimum age limit of 8 years. In the summer season we shoot outdoors at our field next to Manor Lodge School in Shenley. In the winter season we shoot indoors, at Sandringham Sports Hall on Sunday mornings and at Loreto Gym on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

The club usually runs several beginners' courses each year, but these are proving very popular so there is a waiting list. If you are interested, please give your details on the "how to join" page of our web site at https://www.abbeybowmen.org/joinus. Alternatively, you may be able to complete a beginners' course elsewhere and still join Abbey Bowmen. If you plan to learn elsewhere, please check with us first to make sure your proposed course is one that is recognised by our club.

Once you have completed an approved beginners' course you can join our club and start shooting right away. We also welcome visitors provided they are Archery GB members. Regular visitors are encouraged to join as an associate member.
