Southend Central Museum and Planetarium is a local, family friendly museum and visitor attraction in Southend on Sea, open Wednesdays-Sundays 11am-5pm. The museum is free entry to explore with children's trails available, tickets for the planetarium shows must be prebooked.

The Cliff Lift, is a funicular railway, constructed in 1912. The lift operated for the first time on Bank Holiday Monday, in August of that year. It's officially the shortest funicular railway and the only single track funicular railway in Britain!
