Things to do

The Hang out is for 8 - 12 year olds and their well behaved adult. This age group need somewhere to hang out with friends and have their adult close by. We are not childcare, so children need a well behaved responsible adult.

Located in the heart of Southend opposite Sainsbury's, we are a fully accessible, safe and relaxed venue. Hanging out and making memories with friends old and new is the aim of the game!

Hang Out sessions are £10.99 per child for two hours with two free adults. Facilities include arts and crafts, toys, gaming, table tennis, table football, air-hockey, pool, chess table, board games galore, toys, Lego, knitting, jigsaws, marbles, children's book exchange and reading area. Our snack bar and tuck shop is open for those using the hang out and is reasonably priced.

Every Open after school Thursday, Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Walk-in's welcome and online booking available.
Every Friday night 18.30 - 20.30 is Family Fun night with board games galore, every Saturday night 18.30 - 20.30 is quiz night. Sunday afternoon's we offer afternoon tea. Birthday parties are also available. We have also teamed up with Grumpy's diner, so can you order their amazing food to be delivered at The Hang Out.

When the children are at school we are available for term time hire by the community, local groups and businesses. As a social enterprise our whole purpose is to enhance the lives of children aged 8 - 12 yrs old, so they can gently stretch their boundaries and gain confidence, whilst having fun.
