The Summer holidays are coming and I have put together everything I have found to do entertain you and the kids! It's broken into two sections, the top lot is stuff happening throughout the holidays, and the rest is on individual days! All you need to do is scroll through, click the link to see the full details, and then go and have some fun!

Cambridge Open Studios

Our Cambridge Open Studios event provides the opportunity to visit working studios, and buy art direct from the artists. Families are welcome and many artists are offering the chance to try different styles of art with hands-on activities at their studios.

Monsters of the Sea

This captivating exhibition will feature 16 life-size animatronic sea creatures spanning from prehistoric eras to modern times, offering visitors an exciting journey through the depths of marine history.

Summer Games Activity Trail
Jordans Mill, Biggleswade

Sprint, Balance, Limbo, Jump and Sail your way through the 10 mini challenges at each trail point, noting your score on the trail sheet as you go along. Add up your scores at the end and head to the Mill Shop for your prize!


Summer of Play at Anglesey Abbey
Anglesey Abbey, Lode

See who has the best dance moves in the disco den, curl up with a story from the book nook and jump some hurdles in the games zone. Make sure you check out the lawn games and water play in the creative corner on East Lawn and don't miss the trundle track in a special area for under-5s. As well as these activities, there will be a story time session every Monday, a lunchtime disco every Friday and bubble shows or craft activities each Wednesday throughout the summer holidays.

Youth Theatre Workshop

Come and join Future Stars Youth Theatre to take part in their workshop. You will learn drama skills and techniques and rehearse the play 'Matilda', which you will then perform to your parents at the end of the session. Free event for children aged 4-11 years old. Booking required.

Ready, Steady, Make: Retro Toys

A great team-building experience for families. Family teams will face two technical challenges, followed by a showstopper challenge. Children must be supported by adults throughout the activities. For children aged 7+. £3 per child. Booking essential.

Come on a magical journey into the plant world. Follow gardener Peppina in her quest to grow Pimpernell, the most beautiful plant ever seen. Discover how the apple tree grows apples and how the willow tree fights off the caterpillar. A bit silly, a bit poetic and you get to plant your own sunflower to take home!
