Family Activities @ IWM Duxford
IWM Duxford
Fri 29th March 2024 - Sun 14th April 2024
10am - 3pm
There's plenty of fun to be had at IWM Duxford this February half term.
This winter, dive into the science behind cameras as you take on the role of a Photo Interpreter. Find out what it takes to take secret photos from up high in the sky!
You'll take part in exciting missions and explore how light and reflection make a camera work. You'll discover how the Photographic Reconnaissance Unit (PRU) spied on their enemies from the air in their daring missions deep inside enemy lines.
Finally, you'll use your new skills to design and build your own pinhole viewer worthy of an PRU operation!
As a team use your Jump Bag to discover more across the museum. Use the specialised replica Second World War equipment within each bag, including Cricket Clickers, K-Ration Kits, and Binoculars.
Learn about the biggest invasion in history as you explore IWM Duxford. This interactive storytelling experience is based on personal stories from those who served on D-Day.
All activities are free with admission, drop in and are recommended for families with children aged 5+
