A message from North Herts District Council...
We want to hear your views on proposed changes to local parish electoral arrangements as part of the ongoing Community Governance Review (CGR).
The draft proposals have been developed using the feedback received during the first consultation which closed in October 2024.
Key proposed changes:
- A proposal to align parish council elections with district council elections, so they are all held in the same year.
- For some parishes, there are suggestions to alter boundaries and/or adjust the number of parish councillors.
- Proposals to change some parish ward boundaries.
- The establishment of new Town Councils in Baldock, Hitchin, and Letchworth.
- This review could impact local governance, and we want to hear from you. Whether you agree or disagree with the draft proposals, your feedback is essential.
