It's Organic September

Published:

A message from North Herts District Council...

Organic September aims at encouraging people to look for organic products, as a means of finding products that are better for you, your family and for the planet. It is about celebrating everything organic and the hard work and dedication that goes into growing while working with nature, not against it.

What is organic? Organic is a system of farming and food production. Organic farmers aim to produce high-quality food, using methods that benefit our whole food system, from people to planet, plant health to animal welfare. Similarly, other organic products are those made using materials from organic agriculture, such as clothes and personal care items.

Why choose organic? * Reduced exposure to pesticides * Certified to higher standards * No harmful synthetic chemicals * Better for wildlife * Better for soil * Better for farm animals * The highest standards of animal welfare * Enjoying food as it should be * Organic works with nature, to support healthier soils, more wildlife and our world.🌍

This September, try and make a swap to organic, just one product can make a difference! Try a new fruit, a new organic textile or explore a different brand.
