Young musicians have the chance to become rock stars for a week during the summer holidays.

Apollo Audio in Hertford, Hertfordshire, has launched its first Summer Band Camp programme in which youngsters will form a band, rehearse and record in the Apollo studio and finish the week by taking to the stage and playing live.


The studios have plenty of space for the young musicians to practise and record, plus its own live music room where regular gigs are held.


"For the first few days they'll choose a setlist and their band name and then they'll record on the Thursday and then on the Friday they'll get the chance to perform in front of their mums and dads on a proper stage. I think they'll love it."

The band camp takes place the last week of July.

They'll all be put with kids of their own age and similar abilities so they won't be thrown in at the deep end.


The sessions will take place from 10am until 2pm each day but extended day care will be offered to anyone who needs to drop their children off earlier and/or collect them later. For more information, message [email protected]
