A family friendly museum inside a Victorian pumping station with classic cars, motorbikes and commercials, plus a fire station with fire engines that you can climb aboard.
On the top floor - Local history memorabilia, classic toys to play with, typewriters to try your skill on, plus toy prams to push around.
Outside - Model railway layouts running in a converted railway carriage.
Don't miss the 200' deep well in the basement, and the 40s history room.
Cafe serving snacks, plus picnic area.
Free parking
Please note that our lift only goes to the first floor, due to the building design.
Sorry dogs not allowed, except assistance dogs.
Open Days:
Every Tuesday 10am - 4pm, last admission 3pm
Generally we are open on the last Sunday of the month. There are of course some exceptions, when we are hosting Special Events away from the museum. Visit our events calendar page for further details.
Our entry fee for Open Days is £11.00 for adults, children 5-12 £5.50 under 5s FREE.
Hot snacks are available in the Cafe between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Refreshments and cakes served from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.
