Over the years we have adapted and extended our hours in response to increasing demand for childcare in the area. We like to think that Bengeo Playgroup is a home from home. Each child is allocated a Key Person who will bond with your child and plan interesting and educational activities. Our staff have over 40 years of Childcare experience between them. Each year we add to our large range of resources to ensure that we offer a wealth of fun activities to entertain the children. We have a covered courtyard and a large enclosed Playground which enables us to offer free flow play whatever the weather. Our hours match those of the Schools, making it ideal for fathers/mothers/carers who have older children at Bengeo Primary School. Your child can join Bengeo Playgroup from aged 2 years 3 months and progress to Nursery and School up to their final year at aged 11 (subject to availability). We hold a transition meeting with the Nursery Teacher each year for a hand over and children regularly visit the Nursery and their staff to ensure a smooth transition into Nursery, with the friends they have made at Playgroup.

Our brand new nursery in Hertford offers seven individual home-bases tailored to each age group as well as two additional extra-curricular rooms. The nursery will boast a large external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden. Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. All our food will be freshly cooked by our on-site chef and is nutritionally balanced.

We are an independent pre-school open for children aged 2-4 years, Monday-Friday 9-3 during term time, we offer morning sessions (9-12), afternoon sessions (12-3), full days (9am-3pm) or a combination of sessions. We have two large classrooms, offering a broad range of experiences in line with the EYFS framework, as well as a well resourced outside enclosed garden area.

At Mini Cowpers, we cater for up to 23 children per session, who range from 2 to 5 years - although most of our children move on to nursery the academic year before they are due to start school. We know that, for your child, preschool is oBen their first step away from home and we try to make this transiDon as happy and as smooth as possible. Before children begin their sessions with us, we work with parents / carers to get a good understanding of where their child is at developmentally - and what makes them an individual. This helps us give them the best opportunity to progress and develop in the way most appropriate for them.

Morgans Playgroup was established in 1989 and is based within the extensive grounds of Morgans Primary School in Hertford. Whilst the playgroup benefits from strong links to the school, the building has its own private entrance and playground providing a wonderful and safe environment for the children to play and explore the world around them.

The Pines Preschool is a friendly, non-profit making organisation, part of the Hertford Community Church Trust. We meet in the Pinehurst Community Centre every morning from Monday to Friday, during term time, from 9.30am - 12.30pm (Tue & Wed lunch club until 1.30pm) Children can start at approx age 2 year 6 months, and stay until they go into Reception.
