Lambing Events through Hertfordshire
Yes its that baaaaa-rilliant time of year again, lambing season is here. Being from rural Kent I am always slightly bemused by this being a "thing" as my experience of lambing was helping at a friends farm during the Easter holidays and it was a much less clean experience than these planned events! However my children enjoy a much less raw experience and we will definitely be rocking up to a few of these...
heres the list of all the lambing events I have found so far.. let me know if I'm missing any!
Boxmoor Trust have their annual lambing event on the 6th and 7th April, 10am-12pm and then 130-330pm. This year they have moved to a ticketed event only so make sure you're all booked up before you attend. tickets available here boxmoortrust
Oaklands college in St Albans have their annual lambing event on the 23rd and 24th of March with special guests Bluey and Bingo! Tickets are available here oaklands lambing event as well as lambing and their special guests there will be farm games, face painting and a scavenger hunt
Watergate Farm is based in Hockliffe but is worth the drive. like others they have become overwhelmed by visitors so have implemented a ticket system, though tickets can be bought on the gate in the afternoon (they will update via their fb page on availability) tickets are available lambing tickets although they haven't said on their socials last year they were a cash only site so would presume they are this year as well. Watergate Farm have lambing weekends from the 23rd March to the 14th April
Aldenham country park and their sister site Church Farm Ardeley are offering lamb feeding at various times until May. minimum age 2 years. bookable at aldenham country park and church farm ardeley
Other Farms such as Willows, Mead Open Farm and Odds Farm have incorporated their lambing events into their Easter events so I will be adding them to the Easter blog
