Police Cadets
Age: 15 - 18
The Bedfordshire Police Cadet scheme is for young people aged 15 to 18. The programme starts in September until the following July with training being held at Kempston HQ and Dunstable Police station on a Tuesday evening from 7pm to 9.30pm, on alternative Tuesdays.
Our cadets aim to promote an understanding of Police amongst young people, to support local Policing and communities through volunteering and to assist in community and crime prevention events.
The cadets follow a national framework and have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers from departments within Bedfordshire Police and outside agencies.
Being a cadet is also a great way to inspire young people to participate positively in their communities and learn life skills for the future.
Cadets help with crime prevention initiatives, community engagement activities, test purchasing operations, official ceremonies and much more.
