You will need to see your GP if you wish to be referred through the NHS to the L&D Fertility Centre. Your GP will provide a referral letter, this letter will give us any essential information, such as your medical history.
Patients can choose where they would like to be referred to, but the L&D work in close partnership with Bourn Hall, in Cambridge.
The NHS East of England Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG) commissions fertility services on behalf of the Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
The SCG is able to fund up to six attempts at achieving a pregnancy for eligible couples. To find out about the eligibility criteria and more details on NHS funding, please visit www.escg.nhs.uk.
We currently do not accept private patients for IVF, although this may change in the near future.
