Cowslip Meadow, also known as The Riddy, is a flower-rich meadow located in a residential area to the north of Luton, that has gained national status as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as of 2020.
This meadow is the most important wetland habitat we've got in Luton. The Riddy Brook starts here from springs on the meadow, creating a patchwork of ponds and pools. You'll also find some drier spots with chalky banks, and clumps of hawthorn and osier dotted along the stream.
