Wicketz Hubs
Age: 8 - 15
The Lord's Taverners Wicketz Programme, delivered in partnership with Cricket East, has set up year-round community-based cricket clubs in Luton known as Wicketz Hubs.
They are aimed at giving disadvantaged children aged 8-15 an opportunity to not only play cricket but to improve their health and well-being, leading to better lifestyles and the ability to contribute more to their community.
There are also working with partners to deliver workshops to the children on a variety of different issues.
Weekly Wicketz activity takes place at the following locations: Farley Hill, Denbigh High School (Women/Girls), Denbigh High School, Challney Boys School and Queen Elizabeth School.
For more information about the programme, and for the specific address and timing details about each hub session, contact the Wicketz regional officer Nauman Javaid via e-mail.
