RSPB Rye Meads
RSPB Rye Meads is a delightful wetland nature reserve beside the River Lee. The trails around the reserve are wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with several sheltered hides for watching wildlife. The Visitor Centre offers toilets and baby changing facilities with a café stocking hot and cold drinks and a selection of snacks.
The reserve's busy year-round events programme is centred on the school holidays, with activity trails, pond dipping and more. Whether its learning about nature, exploring the wildlife in the ponds or simply going for a nice walk, RSPB Rye Meads has something for everyone.
Entry to the reserve is free for all, with a parking charge for non-RSPB members of £4 per car. Binoculars can also be hired from the Visitor Centre for a small fee.
