Rainbows are aged 5 to 7, Brownies 7 to 10, Guides 10 to 14 and Rangers for those aged 14 to 18.

If you would like your daughter to join Girlguiding for the first time (at whatever level), you will need to register her on our website.

You will be asked basic information including your postcode and you will then be informed of your local units, including where and when they meet.

You are asked to select your preference about which unit(s) you would like to register with (up to a total of three in order of preference).

You will then be added to the waiting list for your first choice and should be contacted via email by the unit leader, in due course.

It is advisable to add girls to the waiting list as early as possible. Girlguiding in Hitchin and the surrounding areas is very popular and WAITING LISTS ARE LONG, A PLACE IS NOT GUARANTEED. Adult volunteers are always required, and daughters of volunteers get priority, so please do consider this. If a girl is already in Girlguiding please liaise with her current unit leader, well in advance, so that they can assist with progression to your chosen next unit. Those already in Girlguiding will be given priority when moving sections over those new to Girlguiding.
