Hitchin School of Dance

The Hitchin School of Dance (formerly The Granville School of Dance) was founded by the original Principal, Mollie Gilbert, In 2024, we shall be celebrating 70 years of providing dance classes in Hitchin. We are very proud to be Hitchin's longest established dance school. It is now run by a former pupil of Mollie, Gabrielle Hammond AISTD.
We hold classes from the age of three in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern, as well as Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Technique and Street. We also have adult classes in Ballet and Tap. We train students for ISTD exams as well as doing our bi-annual show. We have had many students go on to pursue careers in dance.
