MCR Pathways
Are you an empathetic and understanding person who has a spare hour each week to make a positive difference in a young person's life? If so, MCR Pathways is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as a mentor!
MCR Pathways is an award-winning mentoring charity that is dedicated to addressing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities, and life chances for care-experienced young people and those experiencing disadvantage.
The Young Talent programme has been in place in Hertfordshire since the end of 2021 and is currently working in 10 schools in the county, including 5 in Stevenage.
As a volunteer mentor, you will:
Meet with your young person for one hour each week in their school between 9am - 3pm for at least one year.
Be empathetic, kind, open-minded, non-judgemental, friendly, approachable, understanding, patient, committed and reliable.
