Education & childcare

We are a well established term time Pre-School and Nursery based in the heart of Hitchin. We take children from the age of 2½ to when they start school. We offer morning sessions 9am - 12pm Monday to Friday, as well as afternoon sessions 12pm - 3pm Monday to Thursday, or full days 9am - 3pm Monday to Thursday.

At Tilehouse Street we strive to provide our children with the nurture and security that they need in order to engage with learning effectively.

Tilehouse Street Pre-school and Nursery ensures that the children within our setting have their needs met before so they can develop a strong sense of self and self-esteem.

We aim to ensure that our children's basic needs ;their physical needs, their need for security and their need to feel loved - are met completely, as we believe that children cannot become effective learners if these basic needs are not met. We make sure that all our pre-schoolers feel safe and valued, so that they can then go on to tackle the challenges of the nursery year effectively.
