Campton Plantation Woods
Campton Plantation is a mature woodland, dominated by Beech trees, although other notable species do exist there such as Sweet Chestnut and Oak. The Beech trees create open woodland over gently sloping ground, with the river Flit passing by the northern end. Within the wood there are some excellent wood carvings and a special nature interest as there are rare black squirrels aplenty! Parking is limited; however the town of Shefford is within walking distance.
