What's on For February Half Term in Hertford Hertfordshire 2024
Well here we are it seems we blinked and Christmas and new year were over and here we are back at yet another half term!
But never fear like always when it come to days out and kids activities in and around Hertford and Hertfordshire we have got you covered!

Events in Hertford
For many reasons we know lots of you will be looking to stay very local this half term and so here are some events on which are in Hertford for you.
First up we have Foxholes Farm
Foxholes Farm Big Tractor Experience -17th-19th Feb
Just £5 pp and under 2's FREE
Hertford Museum have drop in arts and crafts as normal and this half terms theme is impossible illusions and optic tricks.
Pets at Home Hertford are also hosting their My Pet Pals Workshops again each day during half term at 1pm for FREE.
Theres also a Free family movie morning at Holy trinity church on 20th Feb.
Football fans in the house? Why not go and see our very own Hertford Town FC play a match - just a few pounds, very relaxed and theres even a clubhouse. No need to book pay on the door.
Local shows
The Spotlight, who we work closely with have three brilliant shows for you this half term.
The amazing Dinosaur adventure LIVE (which we saw last year and its brilliant!)
And also Rumble Wrestling.

Fun days out
Looking for a full on day out your half term splurge so to speak? Well we have got some excellent recommendations.
February Frolics at Willows Activity Farm
This is one of our all time favourite things to do this time of year all the fun of willows fun with added adorable lambs, back in 2020 we saw twin lambs be born and it was magical. Visitors can also meet Bo Peep in her very own show with a fun hunt to find Bo Peep's lost sheep and a fleecy headband to make to take home.
Hertfordshire Zoo- formally Paradise Wildlife Park- back open and with lots of new things to explore.
A little further afield but well worth a visit ! Bekonscot Model Village & Railway is the world's oldest original model village, opening for the first time in 1929. With over 90 years of history, huge model railway, 1.5 acres of well kept gardens and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone.
Standalone Farm is running a fantastic love is in nature exhibition this half term.
Whipsnade zoo are playing host to their amazing Vets in Action event for half term once more too.!
Its a Magical Half term with at Old Mcdonalds Farm with singing princesses.
Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park are back with some fun for half term.
Aldenham country park offers a wonderful day out with the farm, 100 akre woods and nature reserve to explore. Why not book to feed the lambs there this half term?
Or how about a visit to Church Farm Ardeley.
Budget Friendly Options
The cost of trips our can often mount up over school holidays and so we've added in some activities that are budget friendly as well.
Drop in craft activities at Hertford Museum
Of course we have already mentioned above the free family movie morning.
Cedars Nature Centre are hosting conservation week
Entry is just £2.40 , you can pay on the door. The centre is small but houses lots of interesting animals such as Kookaburras, reptiles, Owls, Meerkats, Armadillos, Skunks and more. Entry to cedars is free flow with animal meet and greets every 45 minutes. You can wonder in and out of the zoo as you please coupling a visit with enjoying the beautiful and historic Cedars park itself. On the 18th of Feb they are also hosting their monthly Pokemon card swap.
Waltham Cross Dinosaur Book Trail - FREE
February half term films (FREE)
Another fantastic and local free resource that is well worth a visit.
Only open Friday and Saturday but another great free entry Musuem with toys for the children to play with, a great cafe and various free trails to enjoy. You can park for free outside The Spotlight. They also have a special Tiger day on 21st February which is free with no need to book.
You can also couple a visit here with The JailBreak Cafe which is just next door!
The Jailbreak cafe is an activity and cafe all in one! It's set inside an old police station and you can chose to dine in either an old police cell (some have toys in) or outside in the exercise yard. The whole experience is very interactive with plenty to keep the little ones occupied whilst you enjoy a coffee, the prices are good too (we have a coffee, 2 juices, 2 doughnuts and a panini and it was under £10!) reopens from 5th Feb!
Another fantastic budget friendly option as its totally free to visit! And there's a fantastic park to explore just next door too.
Also in Harlow is a fantastic Nature Reserve called Parndon Wood.
Arts and Crafts
We have already mentioned above the amazing drop in arts and crafts sessions at Hertford Musuem this half term.
