Visit our great little award-winning Museum, situated in the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years. The Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds, features three interactive galleries. Boy gallery looks at Roald Dahl's school days while Solo gallery houses his original Writing Hut. The Story Centre puts your imagination centre-stage with fantabulous activities to inspire the writer in you. Closed on Mondays.

With our exciting Children's Explorer Guide you can find out more about Saint Alban and follow a trail around the Cathedral, learning fascinating facts as you go. The Explorer Guide costs £1.00 and is available at the Cathedral Book Shop and West End of the building. The Roman Theatre of Verulamium is unique. Built in about 140AD it is the only example of its kind in Britain, being a theatre with a stage rather than an Amphitheatre. The ruins one can see today were unearthed in 1847 and 1935.
