The Rex has one huge screen set in a glorious 1938 art-deco proscenium with the sharpest film projection and clearest non-booming sound anywhere in the world. People come because it is special. The SandPit Theatre is a multipurpose arts venue based on the campus of Sandringham School. The venue has a comfortable raked auditorium, seating up to 268 with a bright and welcoming foyer area complete with cafe and bar to provide refreshments. We endeavour to provide a cultural hub for the whole community of St. Albans and further districts with a wide variety of performances of all kinds.

Trestle has been making innovative and inspirational storytelling theatre since 1981. Over the past 5 years, we have collaborated with UK and international artists using voice, text, and dance. We welcome people of all ages into Trestle Arts Base. Trestle School of Drama runs weekly classes for ages 4 - 16, we also run adult and inclusive groups. Please check our website for more info.
