Hi! I'm Stacie Brook, your Tappy Toes teacher in the Colchester and surrounding areas.

I started dancing at the age of 3, taking traditional ballet and modern classes and gymnastics. Growing up I took regular freestyle dance lessons before focusing on Contemporary as a teenager.

After studying Dance at GCSE and A-Level, I gained a 2:1 BA Hons Degree in Dance Choreography from Bath Spa university. Whilst a student here, I found a love for Cheerleading and started up the universities Cheer squad which I ran for 3 years. I also headed up the Street Dance society.

I was fortunate enough to spend 7 amazing summers working as the Arts Director at a Summer Camp in Maine, USA. This is where my love of working with children of all age groups really began and led me to move into a teaching career after graduating.

My 13 years in Secondary School Teaching was based in the Dance and PE department. I was also part of the schools Teaching and Learning team, where I worked staffs Professional Development. My experience of dance styles has been wide, including Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Lyrical and Latin. I am also a qualified Cheerleading instructor and ran the schools squad for 8 years.

I have two wonderful children aged 4 and 2 years old. I decided to take some time out of teaching to allow me to be at home with my children more and am extremely excited to continue my love of dance and teaching with Tappy Toes. Working with little ones to develop their coordination and social skills all whilst having a jig and a wiggle is what makes my job such an exciting one!!

I am currently teaching weekly baby and toddler dance classes in the Colchester and Tendring area and within local nurseries.
